Consignor – Terms and Conditions for the Upcoming Catalog Sale:

1. Catalog Fee & Commission:  A fee of $100 applies for each horse consignment, with a commission of 13% of the total sale price.

2. Reserves: They must be communicated in advance. Once set, reserves can be lowered or removed, but not raised.

3. Pass-Out Fee: Horses in the catalog portion of the sale will not have a pass-out fee.

4. Final Bid Rejection: If a seller denies the final bid after meeting the reserve, they owe the auction house the full commission on the bid price. This also applies if no reserve was initially set.

5. Documentation: Catalog fee and document copies (if papered) are prerequisites for entry as “registered”. Original documents must accompany the horse on sale day and he in the position of the Sale Barn to be sold as such.

6. Out-of-State Horses: Require a negative Coggins test (within six months from sale date) and a current health certificate.

7. In-State Horses: Although a negative Coggins isn’t obligatory, we recommend it alongside a health certificate. These details will be shared with potential bidders.

8. Selling Order: Horses will be sold in catalog number order with only the auction staff able to place a horse out of order. If a consignor is not ready, they may miss their slot and be moved to the sales end.

9. Outside Sales: If a horse is sold outside of the sale ring, the transaction must be conducted through the office.

10. Photographs: Clean and clear high-resolution photos of each horse are mandatory to receive promotion online. Photos will be reviewed and chosen by auction staff. Ensure you check our photo and video guidelines before submission.

11. Withdrawals: A catalog sale is intended to benefit both sellers and buyers. Once a horse has been accepted into the catalog, it’s expected to be present on the sale day. If withdrawn for any reason other than infirmity, a $225 pullout fee will be applied in addition to the nonrefundable catalog fee. The assigned number cannot be moved to another horse.

12. Boarding: Cataloged horses will be assigned their own stall. They can be dropped off by appointment starting the Friday prior to the auction. Standard feed is provided at no extra charge. Special dietary requirements must be catered to by the consignor, with a notice given to the auction house.

13. Halter Requirement: Each horse should arrive with a halter. If not, or if removed before departure, a $25 fee is charged.

14. Non-Cataloged Horses: These always sell last.

15. Sale Process: Every consigned horse must be processed through the sales arena, with all transactions finalized at the office. Hip numbers and stall assignments are set by the auction house and are non-negotiable without management approval.

16. Safety: Attendees bear responsibility for their own safety and are encouraged to exercise caution.

17. Payment: Consignors will be paid once the corresponding buyer clears their dues, as per the specific sale’s contract terms, usually the Wednesday following the sale date.
